HMS Maouri
HMS Maouri was a Tribal-class destroyer that served with the Mediterranean Fleet until it was bombarded by German aircraft in 1942. Only one member of the crew died in the attack as the rest of the crew were not on board. After decades of erosion, many parts of the old warship are still easily recognizable. The wreck is also easy to penetrate and it has many swim-throughs and holes to investigate. As with many wrecks of this age, HMS Maouri has become home to a wide variety of marine life. With the maximum depth of only 15m/49ft, this is an easy and relaxed dive that can also suit novice divers who want to practice wreck diving.
