All about High Rock dive site

High Rock is one of the more recognisable sites in Myanmar’s Mergui Archipelago, marked above the surface by a small rocky islet and a single tree. Underwater, it offers a balanced introduction to Burma diving, with sandy bottom areas, coral-covered slopes, and enough fish life to make even a first check dive feel full of movement.

What to see

Divers may see soft corals, hard corals, fusiliers, reef fish, nudibranchs, ghost pipefish, shrimps, moray eels, and scorpionfish. Larger visitors such as trevallies, barracuda, or passing rays may appear around the outer edges.

When To Go Diving

The best months are generally December to April, when conditions are most settled. Water temperatures are usually around 26–30°C, with visibility often around 15–30 metres, though it can vary with plankton and current.
