Felivaru Kandu
Felivaru Kandu is a coral reef and quite large sandy channel in Maldives, which varies from 5m/16ft at the corners to 30m/98ft on the channel edge dropping away. An old, coral covered anchor can be also found near. If the current is very strong (>2 knots), it can be hard work finning against the current, but the site worth the efforts. The site is suitable for avanced level.
When To Go Diving
There is a tropical climate distinguished by two monsoons: the dry northeast monsoon from December to April, and the wet southwestern monsoon with more strong winds and rain - from May to November. The water temperature is about 28C/82F. Visibility ranges from 15 to 30m/49-98ft.
What to see
Among marine species eagle rays, big game fish, barracuda, stingrays, grey reef sharks can be seen inside the channel.
