Miyaru Faru is the northernmost dive site in Rasdhoo Atoll in the Maldives. The dive site features a beautiful reef that slopes gently down to 5-10m/16-33ft, and then the steep wall goes almost vertically down to the sea bottom at a depth of around 30m/98ft. Descending along the wall, divers will see a number of small overhangs full of reef fish. In the surrounding waters divers can spot eagle rays and occasional barracudas patrolling the area, and on the sandy bottom they will have a chance to see some whitetip reef sharks relaxing for the day.
When To Go Diving
Divers can dive at this site any time of the year, but the preferable period is from December to May, when the water conditions are calmer and there is no rain. The annual water temperature is 26-29C/79-84F.
