SS Seagull
The SS Seagull is located at North Malé Atoll. It is a wreck of a steamboat that is fully covered by corals and sponges. Some pieces of the wreck are spread all over this dive site. There are multiple crevices around, grottoes, a deep downward slope (part of the reef), as well as a cave at a depth of 30m/98ft. The current ranges from light to moderate, which allows drift diving towards this site sometimes.

When To Go Diving
Although it is possible to dive at the SS Seagull throughout the whole year, the period from December to May is preferred by divers. It usually rains more from June to November, and then the current gets stronger, bringing more sea life. The average temperature of the water is about 26-29C/79-84F, and the air is generally around 26-29C/79-84F.
What to see
The SS Seagull is known among divers for its nurse sharks, eagle rays, and huge barracudas. Other interesting species include jacks, moray eels, grouper, soldierfish, and stingrays. Some smaller inhabitants of this dive site are parrotfish, blue tangs, blennies, trumpetfish, and frogfish.
