Kureddu Caves, located on the outreef at the backside of Kuredu Island (Maldives), can also be called Turtle Airport. At this site there are a series of overhangs starting at 8m/26ft and dropping down to 25m/82ft. The ceilings of the overhangs are covered in soft corals and soldier fish swimming upside down. The site is very popular among snorkellers and suitable for all diver levels.

When To Go Diving

December to April are the best months for diving with good visibility (around 20-30m/65-98ft) and great weather. Water temperature is 25C to 29C/76-83F.

What to see

Among marine species there is large population of green sea turtles, soft corals, soldier fish, stingrays, big napoleons, porcupine fish, lion fish, moray eels, scorpion fish, leaf fish can be seen, or if you are lucky even a school of manta mobulas, some sharks or eagle rays pass by.
