Liveaboard diving in
Helengeli Thila
North Male Atoll
Located of the east side of Helengeli island in the Maldives, this dive site is available for CMAS**/AOW divers. The thila is around 150m/492ft long, with the north west side for the best coral formations, cliffs and overhangs, with some caves at 25m/82ft.
When To Go Diving
Diving is available all year-round. Water average temperature ranges from 27C to 30C/80-86F. The depth of the site is 30m/98 ft. Water visibility is around 10-30m/32-98ft. Strong currents ( > 4 knots).
What to see
It is possible to see here white tip sharks, great barracudas, and schools of black trevally or black snapper.
