All about Catchupa dive site

Catchupa is likely a locally named site with a mixed reef profile, carrying the same sense of place as Cape Verde’s national dish. Underwater, it can be presented as a volcanic reef dive where fish life gathers around rock, sand, and low coral growth.

What to see

Look for reef fish, parrotfish, damselfish, wrasse, moray eels, scorpionfish, pufferfish, nudibranchs, and shrimps. Schooling fish may gather when current moves across the site.

When To Go Diving

Best months are generally April to November, when water is warmer and visibility is usually stronger. Expect around 22–27°C water and 15–30 metres of visibility in settled conditions.
