All about Bóris (Kwarcit) dive site

Bóris, also known as Kwarcit, is a wreck dive centred on a former Russian fishing trawler off Sal. The site brings together Cape Verde’s Atlantic fish life and the visual interest of wreck structure, making it appealing for photographers and wreck-minded divers.

What to see

Wreck structure, moray eels, scorpionfish, frogfish, nudibranchs, reef fish, sponges, jacks, and barracuda may be seen. The shaded wreck sections can hold particularly good small-life subjects.

When To Go Diving

April to November is usually best for visibility and warmer water. Expect around 22–27°C water during the main season, with visibility often 15–30 metres when seas are settled.
