Big Giftun is a major Hurghada reef area with walls, plateaus, and coral slopes. It offers classic Red Sea scenery, from colourful reef fish to deeper blue-water sections.
What to see
Soft corals, gorgonians, anthias, turtles, moray eels, Napoleon wrasse, jacks, barracuda, and reef fish may be seen.
When To Go Diving
March–May and September–November are ideal. Water is around 22–28°C then, with summer warmer and winter cooler.
