Xwejni Bay, on Gozo’s north coast, is a sheltered shore dive with an easy entry and a gentle reef profile. It is often appreciated for training, night dives, and relaxed exploration, with rocky reef, sand patches, and small Mediterranean life close to shore.

What to see

Divers may see seagrass patches, rocky reef, wrasse, damselfish, bream, octopus, cuttlefish, moray eels, scorpionfish, nudibranchs, sea stars, and small crabs.

When To Go Diving

It can be dived for much of the year when sea conditions are calm, but May to October is most comfortable. Water ranges from about 15–17°C in winter to 25–27°C in late summer, and visibility is usually good in settled weather.
