Turtle Patch suggests a reef or sandy cleaning area where turtles may rest or feed. It has a calm, observational character, especially around Sabah and island reef sites.
What to see
Green turtles and hawksbill turtles may be seen, along with reef fish, coral heads, rays, moray eels, butterflyfish, and cleaning wrasse.
When To Go Diving
April to December is usually best around Sipadan, Mabul and Kapalai. Water is warm, generally 27–30°C, and visibility may range from moderate around macro sites to very clear around Sipadan.
