Thermopylae Sierra is one of Colombo’s well-known wreck dives, a large modern wreck with strong structure and fish life. It has a serious wreck-diving profile and is one of the more substantial west-coast underwater landmarks.

What to see

Large wreck structure, jacks, snappers, batfish, lionfish, moray eels, sponges, soft corals, nudibranchs, and schooling fish may be seen.

When To Go Diving

Best from November to April, when Colombo and the west coast are usually diveable. Water is generally around 27–30°C, with visibility often 10–25 metres in good conditions.
