Stingray City Sandbar is very popular shallow dive site of Grand Cayman. Diving here is available for all levels. The main attraction of the site are Caymans Southern Stingrays who are used to visitors and come up close to greet the divers

When To Go Diving

Scuba diving is available all year-round. The average air temperature stays within 21-27°C/70-80°F range throughout the year. June through October is usually the hurricane season. The average water temperature stays between 26°C/78°F and 28°C/82°F year-round. The depth of the site is 3-4m/10-15ft. Water visibility is 5m/16ft.

Stingray City or Sandbar
The "Sandbar" lies in the North Sound of Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands, often mistakenly called "Stingray City", which is a nearby dive site. The "Sandbar" is an open interaction wildlife zone where people (tourists) can interact with the Southern Stingray.
