LIVEABOARD DIVING IN Costa Calma
Costa Calma is a beach resort town, located in the beginning of the Jandía Peninsula in the south of Fuerteventura island. Fuerteventura Airport is located in 64 km fom it. Costa Calma was developed as a tourist community in the 1970s, and now the resort is full of bars, restaurants and hotels. The highlight of Costa Calma is Sotavento Beach, which has been the location of several windsurfing championships due to the strong off-shore winds during the summer months. Diving in Costa Calma is amazing thanks to its diversity of flora and fauna, opportunity to explore reefs, caves and rock formations. Costa Calma has more than 20 dive sites that are easily accessible by boat and suitable for all diver levels.
El Veril Grande, Boat Tower, Las Salinas, and Catedral are some of the most interesting dive sites in the Costa Calma area. Another recommended dive is the El Bajón del Rio, a great site, which is located further north.
