Scuba diving in Costa Calma is possible all year round. Most of precipitation falls in autumn and winter. The high diving season is from May to September. The average air temperature in the summer is 27C/82F and 20C/68F in the winter. The water temperature in February is around 18C/64F and 23C/73F in August. The visibility is very good, in some places it's more than 30m/100ft.
What to see
There are angel sharks (more often seen in the winter), small hammerhead sharks, large common rays, eagle rays, butterfly rays, loggerhead turtles and a substantial number of black eels and tiger eels. Anemones, gastropods and sponges can also be found there.
