LIVEABOARD DIVING IN Arona

Arona is a municipality in the southern part of the island of Tenerife. The capital of the island, the third largest city in Tenerife located 59km/37mi southwest from Santa Cruz de Tenerife, is also called Arona. Tenerife South Airport is located in 18 km. This municipality can boast of the protected natural spaces, such as the Montaña de Guaza, the magnificent natural scenery of the Montaña Amarilla ("Yellow Mountain") and the Valley of San Lorenzo. Arona municipal's coastline consists of over 15km/10mi of beautiful beaches, such as Arenita, Las Galletas, Los Cristianos, Las Vistas and Enojados. Whilst tranquility is guaranteed on the small beaches and tiny coves, the tourist resorts (Los Cristianos, Playa de las Americas, Las Galletas - among the best) provide visitors with non-stop fun and amusements:lots of restaurants, bars and cafes. All year round visitors are attracted here by a wide range of religious and musical festivals. Also the volcanic coast and the calm waters make diving a very popular water activity here. Both novice and experienced divers can enjoy their diving to reefs, wrecks, beautiful walls and caves, that are teeming with marine life.
Among the best dive sites you can certainly choose between El Condesito, Los Chuchos, Roncadores del Faro, Meridian wreck, El Puertito and Palm Mar Wall. El Condesito is recommended only to experienced divers due to the strong water currents. Advanced divers for sure will find it interesting to explore Palm Mar Wall and El Puertito is a great spot where divers can easily dive to see friendly calm turtles.
