Shark’s Cove, on Oahu’s North Shore, is a lava-rock snorkel and shore-dive site with tide pools, boulders, and clear water when calm. It is highly seasonal because winter surf can make conditions unsafe.

What to see

Lava rock, tide-pool life, reef fish, butterflyfish, tangs, moray eels, octopus, nudibranchs, crabs, and small invertebrates may be seen.

When To Go Diving

Best in summer, usually May to September, when North Shore seas are calmer. Water is generally around 24–28°C, with visibility often good in flat conditions.
