Sai Ree Beach is Koh Tao’s main beach area, with nearby shallow reef, sand, and easy-access training-style conditions. It is more relaxed than the offshore pinnacles, with a gentle coastal rhythm.
What to see
Juvenile reef fish, gobies, blue-spotted rays, butterflyfish, wrasse, coral patches, anemonefish, shrimps, and small sand-dwelling life may be seen.
When To Go Diving
Diveable much of the year, with January to September usually more reliable. Water is generally 27–30°C, and visibility varies with wind, boat traffic, and sand movement.
