Ras Banas is a remote southern Red Sea peninsula area with reefs, bays, and a sense of distance from the main resort circuit. It has expedition-style appeal, especially for divers interested in less crowded reefs.
What to see
Coral reefs, turtles, rays, reef fish, parrotfish, butterflyfish, moray eels, dolphins in the wider region, and occasional pelagics may be seen.
When To Go Diving
Best from March–May and September–November. Water is generally 23–29°C, with visibility often very good in calm seas.
