Pohoe Bay is best treated as a Hawaiian bay or coastal reef site with lava rock and coral patches. It has a calm, natural profile when sea conditions are settled.
What to see
Lava reef, reef fish, tangs, butterflyfish, moray eels, turtles, octopus, nudibranchs, and small crustaceans may be seen.
When To Go Diving
Best in calm summer and autumn conditions. Water is generally around 24–28°C, with visibility often 15–30 metres.
