Olowalu, on Maui, is known for shallow reef, coral gardens, and a gentle coastal profile. It is one of Maui’s more accessible reef environments, with broad coral structure and warm water.
What to see
Coral gardens, reef fish, turtles, butterflyfish, tangs, wrasse, moray eels, octopus, and occasional manta rays in the wider area may be seen.
When To Go Diving
Best from May to October for calmer conditions, though south and west Maui sites can be diveable year-round. Water is generally around 24–28°C.
