New Mandarin Point is likely a dusk or shallow reef site where mandarin fish may be the main attraction. It is best enjoyed slowly, especially near coral rubble and branching coral.
What to see
Mandarin fish may be seen, along with dragonets, cardinalfish, shrimps, crabs, juvenile reef fish, and small nocturnal creatures.
When To Go Diving
Mandarin fish dives are often timed near sunset, and the site may be diveable year-round. Water is usually around 26–29°C, with visibility less important than timing and patience.
