Midell Reef is best treated as a mid-depth rocky reef, with coral-like encrusting life, sponges, and fish sheltering around ledges. It has a balanced profile between easy reef touring and deeper scenic diving.
What to see
Bream, wrasse, damselfish, groupers, moray eels, octopus, sponges, nudibranchs, sea stars, and small reef fish may be seen.
When To Go Diving
Best from May to November, with the most comfortable temperatures in summer and early autumn. Visibility is often around 20 metres or more.
