All about Machico dive site
Machico, on Madeira, offers island-style Atlantic diving with rocky reefs, walls, and generally mild water. It has a relaxed, scenic character close to one of Madeira’s historic coastal towns.
What to see
Dusky groupers, barracuda, jacks, moray eels, wrasse, bream, octopus, cuttlefish, sponges, and rocky reef life may be seen.
When To Go Diving
Madeira is diveable year-round, with warmest water often from July to November. Water is generally around 18–23°C, and visibility often averages around 20–25 metres.
