Miri-Miri and Roses combines pass and outer-slope character around Raiatea, with coral formations that can feel unusually elegant. The “Roses” area is associated with large coral shapes that resemble petals, giving the site a distinctive visual identity.
What to see
Large coral formations, Napoleon wrasse, tuna, reef fish, grey reef sharks, eagle rays, and occasional hammerheads in the blue may be seen.
When To Go Diving
May to October usually brings the best visibility. Pass sections should be dived with local tide planning, especially if current is present.
