Wreck
This dive site, featuring a wreck of a small private plane which sank in 1983, is located along the slope of La Pointe Pilone. It lies on the sandy floor 46m/150ft deep and is covered with gorgonians. The aircraft is 7m/22ft long. The marine life here includes spirographs, congers, lobsters and crabs. Diving at this site is recommended for advanced divers.
When To Go Diving
The best time for diving L'avion is from May to November. The water temperature remains over 20C/68F from late May to mid November and visibility varies between 5-30m/49-98ft. The depth of the site is 46m/150ft.
