All about Las Esponjas dive site

Las Esponjas is likely a Caribbean reef site named for sponge growth, with a relaxed profile and warm, clear water. It suits divers who enjoy coral structure, reef fish, and colourful invertebrate life rather than strong-current diving.

What to see

Barrel sponges, tube sponges, sea fans, reef fish, angelfish, parrotfish, grunts, snappers, moray eels, turtles, and small crustaceans may be seen.

When To Go Diving

The Mexican Caribbean is diveable year-round, with November to April often bringing drier weather and clear water. Water is usually around 25–29°C, and visibility can reach 20–30 metres in settled conditions.
