All about Lamasa dive site
Lamasa is best described as a local PNG reef site with a quieter, exploratory character. It likely offers coral slopes, bommies, and fish life typical of the New Britain region, where biodiversity is rich even on lesser-known sites.
What to see
Hard corals, soft corals, reef fish, anthias, butterflyfish, turtles, rays, moray eels, nudibranchs, shrimps, and schooling fusiliers may be seen.
When To Go Diving
Best from May to November, though diving can be possible year-round depending on local weather. Water is generally around 27–31°C, with visibility often 15–30 metres in settled conditions.
