All about Kvarcit or Boris dive site

Kvarcit, also known as Boris, is a Russian fishing trawler wreck off Sal and one of the island’s more distinctive wreck dives. The vessel gives Cape Verde diving a different texture, with metal structure, marine growth, and fish life gathered around a sunken working boat.

What to see

Divers may see the wreck structure, moray eels, scorpionfish, frogfish, nudibranchs, sponges, reef fish, jacks, and barracuda. Small life can be especially interesting around encrusted metal and shaded sections.

When To Go Diving

April to November is usually the best general window, with warmer water and stronger visibility. Water is often around 22–27°C, while visibility can reach 15–30 metres in settled conditions.
