When to go to Palu

Palu is a year-round destination. The air temperature is around 28-30C/82-98F all year. March to December is generally considered to be the best time to dive here because it is the dry season, but conditions areoften excellent, even outside this time. The average water temperature is 27-30C/80-98F. Water visibility averages 20-40m/65-131ft. Currents depend on the season and location.


What to see

All sites are full of marine life, including gray reef sharks, rays, hawksbill turtles, green turtles, moray eels, huge schools of blacktail barracudas, frogfish, ribbon eels, and bobtail squid.

Scuba diving in Palu

The city of Palu is the capital of the province of Central Sulawesi. Mutiara SIS Al-Jufrie Airport is located here. It is popular with tourists and divers as well. Palu offers a variety of sights and activities for all. Scuba diving here is available for divers of all levels of experience. One of the popular places to dive in Palu is Donggala. The dive sites off Palu consist of reefs, walls, rocks, caves, and wrecks. The depth of the dive site is 40m/131ft or more.
