Gotham City is located on Manu Island in the outer Barrier Reef. The dive site consists of large pinnacles that shelter colonies of multicolored corals and sea fans. Diving at Gotham City is spectacular, because of the soft and hard corals in every color of the rainbow. The site got its name due to the large schools of batfish there.

When To Go Diving

Manu Island has a tropical climate. The average temperature range is 26-30C/79-86F, and the water temperature averages 27-29C/81-84F. The best time to visit Manu Island is from May to October.

What to see

Besides batfish, divers can observe many other marine creatures while scuba diving in Gotham City. Gotham City’s pinnacles are also home to blue-striped snapper, giant moray eels, bumphead wrasses, and large grouper. Diving at Gotham City provides opportunities for divers to spot pelagic fish as bluefin trevallies, Spanish mackerel, barracudas, and scad mackerel.
