Wakaya Passage is one of Fiji’s renowned big-animal areas, where current and open water can bring manta rays and pelagic movement. It has a grand, blue-water feel balanced by reef slopes and cleaning-station habitat.
What to see
Manta rays may be seen, along with reef sharks, eagle rays, jacks, barracuda, turtles, fusiliers, and soft corals.
When To Go Diving
May to October is usually best for visibility, while manta activity depends on plankton and cleaning behaviour. Water is generally 25–29°C.
