All about Gizo dive site
Gizo is one of the Solomon Islands’ classic dive bases, with reefs, walls, wrecks and WWII history close to town. It has a varied profile, from coral slopes and passages to aircraft and vessel remains.
What to see
WWII wrecks, reef fish, sea fans, soft corals, hard corals, jacks, barracuda, turtles, rays, nudibranchs, and occasional reef sharks may be seen.
When To Go Diving
Best from May to November for calmer seas and stronger visibility. Water is generally around 27–31°C.
