All about Garove Island dive site
Garove Island, in the Witu Islands, is an extinct volcanic island with a dramatic flooded caldera and surrounding reefs. It has a remote, expedition-like character, combining volcanic scenery, coral growth, and open-water fish movement.
What to see
Volcanic reef structure, soft corals, hard corals, sea fans, reef fish, turtles, rays, jacks, barracuda, reef sharks, and schooling fish may be seen.
When To Go Diving
The Witu Islands are often visited in the same broader Kimbe Bay season, with May to November usually offering calmer seas and better visibility. Water is generally warm, around 27–31°C.
