All about Restorf Island dive site
Restorf Island, in Kimbe Bay, offers island reef diving with coral slopes, clear water, and a sheltered tropical setting. It has a classic New Britain character, with colourful reef life close to the island and the possibility of stronger fish movement along the outer edges.
What to see
Coral gardens, sea fans, reef fish, turtles, rays, fusiliers, butterflyfish, nudibranchs, reef sharks, and small macro subjects may be seen.
When To Go Diving
May to November is often best for calm seas and visibility. Water is generally around 27–31°C, with visibility commonly 15–30 metres.
