EcoPro Divers Liveaboards
Frequently Asked Questions About EcoPro Divers
Where are the departure and arrival locations?
EcoPro Divers runs two distinct playgrounds. In Indonesia, EcoPro Divers Indonesia itineraries on EcoPro Duyung Baru revolve around Komodo, with smooth round-trip sailings from Labuan Bajo; a few longer passages stretch west to finish in Sumbawa, trading volcanic headlands for dragon-famed bays. In the Maldives, EcoPro Divers Maldives programs on EcoPro Mariana and EcoPro Seascape mostly work as easy Male–Male circuits through the central atolls, while Deep South seasons stitch together gateways such as Kooddoo and Gan, with occasional starts or finishes in Maamigili, Dharavandhoo, or Fuvahmulah. Embarkation and disembarkation can pivot slightly with the monsoon, but the flow stays seamless: step aboard, exhale, and let the blue do the rest
Is Nitrox available on the EcoPro Divers liveaboards, and is it free for certified divers?
Yes—Enriched Air (Nitrox) is carried on board across the fleet, offered to certified divers for a surcharge rather than free of charge. It’s a practical upgrade on Komodo’s repeat-dive days and the Maldives’ channel drifts, nudging comfort on longer profiles while keeping the cadence relaxed
What level of diving experience is required for EcoPro Divers liveaboard trips?
Komodo with EcoPro Duyung Baru is shaped for experienced travelers: Advanced Open Water or equivalent with roughly seventy logged dives is the sweet spot for the full region, while shorter central itineraries welcome confident Open Water divers at about sixty. In the Maldives, central-atoll journeys feel natural from thirty to fifty dives (Open Water through Advanced), but when the route swings Deep South Kooddoo to Gan and the blue channels in between, Advanced certification and about forty-five to seventy-five dives keep the ride smooth, with playful current, crisp drop-offs, and those long, unhurried blue corridors that make the days sing

Diving Komodo on the Duyung Baru Liveaboard
The Duyung Baru liveaboard takes just six divers in three cabins. With the co-owner and dive guide Vovo Korth taking a dim view of crowded dive sites, often the seven of you will be the only people in the water.
Vovo's wife Yani is the captain and cook. Her food is delicious, created with care and love. She gets up at three in the morning to make fresh bread for breakfast - from loaves to croissants. Not only a great cook, she is most friendly and welcoming.
Highly recommended.
