The small island of Dimakya is one of the few regions in the world where it is possible to spot a wild dugong in its natural habitat. There are four dive sites on this island: Dimakya West, The Classroom, Dimakya North and Dimakya North-East. Dimakya West has a beautiful coral garden populated with colorful soft and hard corals, sponges and marine species that like to hide among corals like parrot fish, barracuda and goat fish. The Classroom, located on the west side of the island, is a shallow area with lots of coral growth. It is an ideal place for scuba diving lessons and a great site for beginners. Dimakya North site is a gently sloping reef with many mantas, eagle rays, sea turtles and other marine creatures. Dimakya North-East is a good spot for macro photography: nudibranchs, crinoids and other invertebrates favor this reef. Children dive, night dive, first dive and snorkeling are possible at this location.
