Ceuva Elevitero, known as The Black Cove, is one of the most interesting cave dives in Tenerife. Shallow waters and absence of currents make this dive a great place for novice divers. The visibility is good. It ranges from 10m/33ft to 30m/98ft. The average depth of the site is 12m/39ft. The maximum depth is 18m/59ft. This location offers a wide variety of fish like groupers, breams, conger eels, morays, alfonsiños and cabrillas. Diving is possible all year round, but the best time to go is from March to November.

Ceuva Elevitero has a comfortable year-round climate with water temperatures ranging between 17C/63F and 24C/75F. The air temperature is 29C/84F in August and 19C/66F in February.

Passed here my open water exam. It was excellent one for me as a beginner, all exercises were perfectly done. Inspite of the exam it was a great pleasure to watch different schools of fish passing by. Besides Canary islands are well known for it's perfect visibility, it's true.
