Barracuda Reef suggests a fish-active Bahamas reef where open-water edges and coral formations may attract predators and schooling life. It is likely best enjoyed as a classic Caribbean-style reef dive, with movement above the coral and smaller life tucked into the reef.

What to see

Barracuda may be seen cruising above the reef, along with snappers, grunts, jacks, parrotfish, wrasse, sea fans, sponges, and hard corals. Rays and reef sharks may pass along the sand or outer edge.

When To Go Diving

November to May is usually the clearest and calmest overall window. Water temperatures generally range from about 24°C in winter to 29°C in summer, with visibility often 20–40 metres.
