Baixa do Ambrosio is situated near Santa Maria island. This site is suitable for advanced divers only. The average depth of the location is 21m/68ft and maximum reaches up to 47m/154ft.
What to see
It is a deep dive with a diverse pelagic life, including tuna, almaco jacks, yellow mouth bararcuda, wahoo and other species. It is also a great place for manta-rays lovers as during the summer it is normal to observe schools of 15-30 mantas circling around divers.
