Ponta do Garajau
To get to Ponta do Garajau requires a short distance boat trip. This area is a paradise for underwater photography. This dive site is suitable for divers of all levels of experience and is renowned for its dusky groupers, which follow divers from one rock formation to the next. Marine life here is very diverse. Divers can find tunas, mackerels, large groupers, barracudas, endangered Mediterranean monk seals, manta rays and almost every kind of fish, crustacean and invertebrate. Behind every rock there is something to be discovered. The average depth of the site is 20m/66ft, but the deepest point reaches 29m/95ft. There is a medium current, 1-2 knots. The visibility is excellent, from 10m/33ft to 30m/98ft.

The air temperature is around 24C/75F in the summer and 18C/64F in the winter. The average water temperature is 22C/72F in the summer and 16C/61F in the winter. The climate is mild all year round.
