B-24 Tulsamerican is the famous WWII Liberator aircraft wreck near Vis, resting deep offshore. It is one of Croatia’s most historically significant aircraft dives and is best suited to technical or highly experienced divers.
What to see
Divers may see the aircraft wreckage, cockpit area, engines, wings, tail sections, propeller remains, encrusting marine life, and fish around the wreck.
When To Go Diving
Best from June to October in stable weather. The wreck lies deep, so cold water, current, and advanced planning are important even in summer.
