Abu Fendera is a southern Red Sea reef with coral gardens and a remote coastal character. It suits divers who enjoy quiet sites with varied reef blocks and sandy patches.
What to see
Expect coral gardens, reef fish, turtles, rays, parrotfish, butterflyfish, moray eels, lionfish, and occasional schooling fish.
When To Go Diving
March–May and September–November are usually ideal. Water is generally 23–29°C, with visibility often 20–40 metres.
