Underwater Volcano is one of Pulau Weh’s distinctive geological dives, where volcanic activity creates unusual seabed features. It is less about coral density and more about geology, bubbles, and atmosphere.
What to see
Volcanic vents, bubbles, mineral-stained substrate, reef fish, small corals, nudibranchs, crabs, and unusual seabed textures may be seen.
When To Go Diving
Best from October to May, when Pulau Weh conditions are usually calmer. Water is generally 27–29°C, with local temperature variation possible around vents.
