The climate in Porto Cristo is Mediterranean, with mild and stormy winters and hot summers. The rainiest time between October and March. The best time for diving here is between May and October when the sea temperature reaches 26C/78F and the visibility can be up to 40m/131ft. The average air temperature is around 25C/77F in the summer and 11C/51F in the winter.
What to see
There is a variety of marine life that includes colorful corals, sponges, groupers, lobsters, barracudas, moray eels, cardinal fish, jacks, wrasse, octopus, goatfish, damsel fish, blennies, brightly colored nudibranchs, starfish and sea urchins.
