All about Sesimbra dive site

Sesimbra is one of mainland Portugal’s main dive areas, known for rocky reefs, wrecks, clear Atlantic water, and access to Arrábida and Cabo Espichel sites. It has a varied, accessible profile close to Lisbon.

What to see

Octopus, cuttlefish, conger eels, bream, wrasse, nudibranchs, sponges, anemones, wreck life, and small schooling fish may be seen.

When To Go Diving

Diveable year-round in suitable conditions, but June to October is usually most comfortable. Water is generally around 14–22°C, with visibility often 5–20 metres.
