Roosevelt Roads is a pristine beach that offers a peaceful escape, due to the fact that the area that surrounds it is mainly undeveloped leaving the nature in its original state. The site features an impressive array of activities including lagoon, cave, reef, wreck and wall diving. The water is teeming with moray eels, rays, sharks, whales, crabs, sea cucumbers, starfish, manatees and other species. This location also allows night diving, free diving and underwater photography which makes it a popular destination among divers. The average depth of the site is 18m/59ft with maximum of around 45m/149ft. Currents are medium, between 1-2 knots and visibility is excellent, over 30m/98ft. This site is open for divers of all levels.
