Purple Bay suggests a sheltered bay or reef site where colour comes from sponges, algae, encrusting life, or gorgonian growth. It has a softer, more scenic character than Croatia’s deep wrecks.
What to see
Expect sponges, small corals, wrasse, damselfish, bream, octopus, scorpionfish, nudibranchs, crabs, and possibly colourful gorgonians on deeper rock.
When To Go Diving
June to October is usually most comfortable, with July to September the warmest months. Visibility is often excellent in calm bay conditions.
