Playa La Cueva is best treated as a Canary Islands shore or bay dive, with volcanic rock, sand, and clear Atlantic water shaping the site. It has a calm coastal character rather than a deep offshore profile.

What to see

Volcanic rock, wrasse, bream, parrotfish, damselfish, octopus, moray eels, rays, nudibranchs, and small crustaceans may be seen.

When To Go Diving

Best from May to October, with year-round diving possible in the Canaries. Water is usually around 19–24°C, with visibility often 15–30 metres.
