All about Penor dive site

Penor is likely a local spelling variation of Peñón, a well-known Bayahibe reef area with calm conditions and rich marine life. It offers a classic Dominican Caribbean profile, with reef wall, sand edge, and colourful fish activity.

What to see

Turtles are possible, along with stingrays on sandy areas, reef fish, sponges, sea fans, grunts, snappers, parrotfish, angelfish, moray eels, and coral formations.

When To Go Diving

Bayahibe diving is possible most of the year, with December to May often calmest and summer bringing very warm water. Water is usually around 25–30°C, with visibility often up to 30 metres.
